Often political language will come up in a discussion or a newspaper article and you need to have a basic understanding of the references, origins and implications of some political terms.

Political language is often quite diverse and each country develops its own unique ways of encoding events in its own political language and what I offer here is an American’s take on the political language of the American political system.
